My starters at Rare Restaurant is a flame grilled chorizo, this is a typical cuisine dish in Portugal. The chorizo was succulent and grilled to perfection with a crispy grilled outside and juicy spicy inside. went down very well with the toasted crostini bread.
My rib-eye steak was absolutely, what this restaurant stands for “RARE”. This rib-eye steak was cooked to absolute perfection and is everything a man wants in a good steak! Rare steakhouse is a meat eating paradise and have a big selection of meats on their menu. I choose the sweet potato crispy chips with my meal. this dish cost only 25.95 €
This 20 Vertenti red wine is from the Douro region pared well with my rib-eye steak. You can see chart for more information on this wine.
I was going to order desert but it seemed like there was a bit of a confusion on their table service! I had three different servers attend to me throughout my dinning experience at Rare Steakhouse, so the table service was rare sorry no pun intended. I must have been forgotten by all of them, maybe they all thought I was being looked after, as time passed my appetite for desert diminished. eventually someone came to my table and it was not one of the three servers that served me in the beginning. then I just asked for the bill.
I have given Rare steakhouse an overall score of 7 and do believe they need to reduce the amount of servers to serve one table. Rare do deserve a better rating and I am sure to visit again in the near future.
