Mayflower is an elegant and inviting culinary restaurant, artistically blending a Mediterranean style of cooking from awarded chefs, combine this with the marinas ambiance, truly making it a tempting option to explore. Inside they have large round tables that can seat up to 10 people, great for party celebrations or private functions. They can also tailor your functions to create your own private ambiance. Mayflower has an outside terrace overlooking the Vilamoura marina, with exceptional views of the whole marina. Great for evening meals and romantic dinners.
Fish as fresh as you can get it! My dorada (Sea Bream) fish, must have been swimming in the ocean last night and now on my plate.🤪 I like how they served the dorada with spikes that support the fish in an upright position, this makes it easy to carve slices of dorada onto your wooden board to eat. My dorada was well cooked and seasoned, so moist and succulent it melted like butter in my mouth. I also had boiled potatoes, potato mash, with steamed vegetables served with my dorada cuisine.
The vegetables were fresh, but a little bit underdone and hard, they could have steamed them for a little bit longer to my palatable liking.
Apple crumble tart with vanilla ice cream, artistically well presented and an enjoyable finish to compliment my dinning experience at Mayflower.
I enjoyed this lovely Italian Abbazia Prosecco white sparkling wine, refreshing and crisp, very well paired to my dorada. you can refer to the chart attached for more information. I had to refill my glass of Prosecco wine, I noticed on the table opposite me that the server refilled their wine glasses. I thought to myself maybe because I was the only one at my table. Maybe they thought it was not that important to refill my glass of Prosecco wine.🤣😂🤣 I think if they knew I was reviewing their restaurant, they would have.
I have awarded Mayflower with a total recommendation of 7 but I do think they could work on their table service, even if its just for one person eating at their restaurant. In my opinion Mayflower has the potential for a much better rating.
