News restaurant Vilamoura offers a spectacular panoramic view over the entire Vilamoura’s Marina. They offer fresh produce from the region, and also make a strict selection of meat cuts and the fish is fresh from their coast. News restaurant believe that food is an art form and strive to provide an authentic culinary experiences. On my arrival at News I was very well received to me of utmost importance is that when arrival at restaurants, is to be warmly welcomed and made to feel like a special guest at someones home. This is how News restaurant do receive you. News restaurant has an inside restaurant and an outside terrace overlooking the marina, and this was my choice of seating for my dining review experience.
I have chosen to try News restaurants gourmet curry prawns, it comes with basmati rice and a poppadom. Your gourmet curry prawns and basmati rice come in copper pots very impressive! and the copper pots do help to retain the heat, as you enjoy your gourmet curry prawns dish.
The prawns were nicely cleaned with the vain removed. The sauce was very “spicy,” which I like but a little bit over salted, they could have toned down the salt a little for my palatable liking. Dipping my poppadom in the copper pot with the sauce was an explosive delicious tasty journey, mmm. the prawns were decent size, well curried, and succulent, about 10 prawns in your copper pot. The basmati rice was fluffy and cooked to perfection. Your servings are a generous helping , I had three helpings from my copper pot. Your dish is priced @25€

This red wine Invincible from the Douro region is bold, on the tannic side, dry and well balanced. I picked up oak, cedar and fruity notes. For more information on this wine please see chart attached.
My ordered for dessert is chocolate ice cream topped with berries. The dessert comes in copper cups matching curry prawns copper pots. Rich and creamy a good quality ice cream and very soothing after my spicy curry prawns.
The ambiance was superb with the view of the whole marina at News restaurant, they also play good music in the background. On some evenings they have a music DJ and dance floor. I have given News restaurant an overall score of 8, well deserved.
